OPEN TO IT OPPORTUNITIES
I'm Mohamed Saber, an IT professional focused on network infrastructure, Linux and Windows administration, virtualization, and practical cybersecurity.
01 / ABOUT
I build and troubleshoot infrastructure in a hands-on homelab, connecting networking fundamentals with real deployments. My work spans VLAN design, routing, firewalls, Linux services, Windows domains, and virtualization.
I studied Computer Systems Technician – Networking at Algonquin College and enjoy documenting projects so others can understand the architecture, decisions, and lessons learned.
02 / EXPERTISE
Technologies I work with across lab builds and infrastructure projects.
TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, NAT, ACLs, STP, EtherChannel, DNS, DHCP
Ubuntu, RHEL, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, SSH
Proxmox VE, VMware, VirtualBox, VMs, containers, TrueNAS storage
pfSense, WireGuard, DMZ isolation, firewall policy, TLS, traffic analysis
Bash, Python, PowerShell, batch scripting, repeatable deployments
Docker, Portainer, Nginx, Git, Linux networking and web services
03 / SELECTED WORK
Hands-on projects that demonstrate infrastructure design and implementation.
Isolated portfolio hosting on Proxmox with pfSense VLAN segmentation, a dedicated Ubuntu/Nginx server, and VPN-only SSH administration. Docker and Portainer run on a separate management network.
Documentation and repository coming soon.
Virtualized server environment for routing, switching, Windows and Linux services, network storage, and security experimentation.
